Spaghetti is a long, thin, solid and cylindrical shape of pasta. Originally, spaghetti pieces used to be made in much longer pieces, however, during the 20th century shorter length strands gained popularity. Tomato, cream, seafood or oil based sauces pair especially well with this type of pasta.
